Optoutside is an annual day when rei co-op closes their doors on black friday to promote enjoying the outside instead of shopping. The graphics team creates optoutside graphic products for the fall season to celebrate the initiative. This seasons we conveyed the message through exciting hand drawn type with a lot of energy both in the movement it shows and through a bright, fun color palette. Stylistically we threw it back to the '90s. Taking inspiration from type that has a sort of loose painterly quality to it.
